Sedation and General Anesthesia Treatments

Many people associate a visit to the dentist with pain, discomfort or, in the worst case, severe anxiety. At Zahnmedizinisches Institut Dr. Burger & Partner, you have the option of undergoing dental procedures in a relaxed and pain-free manner under general anesthesia. Our experienced team of dentists and anesthesiologists will guide you safely and compassionately through every step of your treatment.

What Is Dental Treatment Under General Anesthesia?

General anesthesia, also known as full anesthesia, is administered on an outpatient basis at our institute. An experienced specialist in anesthesiology manages the anesthesia and monitors you continuously throughout the entire procedure. While you sleep, we carry out your complete dental treatment. During the recovery phase that follows, you rest in dedicated recovery rooms and can then be picked up directly by a trusted person.

When Is Dental Treatment Under General Anesthesia Recommended?

Dental Treatment Under General Anesthesia for Children

We also offer treatment under general anesthesia for children aged 3 and older with a minimum weight of 16 kg. An anesthesia team accompanies your child safely through the entire procedure while we treat all necessary teeth in a single session. For mildly anxious children aged 4 and older who require treatment of only a few teeth, nitrous oxide is a gentle alternative. We are happy to advise you personally on which method is best suited for your child. Book your consultation today.
