Your first visit to our dental institute is just around the corner. To help you prepare from home and to ensure a smooth process with minimal waiting times, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers below.
At your first appointment, we will conduct a thorough medical history review, discuss your dental background, and talk through any current concerns or wishes you may have. This is followed by a comprehensive clinical examination of your teeth, gums, jaw, and oral mucosa. Our goal is to gain a complete picture of your oral health, which will serve as the basis for your individual treatment plan.
48 hours before your appointment, you will receive an email with a link to our online medical history form. Please complete it comfortably from home – this saves valuable time during your visit. If you have recent X-rays available (no older than one year), please send them to us in advance at praxis@drburger.at. A list of your current medications as well as any known allergies or pre-existing conditions would also be very helpful.

No. The focus of your first appointment is on your medical history and discussing your treatment wishes. No procedures will be carried out without your explicit consent. If you suffer from dental anxiety, please let us know in advance. We will take all the time you need and adapt the appointment entirely to your comfort. Learn more about our philosophy here.
For a complete assessment of your teeth, we require X-rays no older than one year. If your most recent images are older than that, we will discuss on-site whether new X-rays are advisable and will inform you transparently about any associated costs before they are incurred.
We are a private dental practice. This means that all services are billed directly to you. The extent of reimbursement from your insurance provider will depend on whether you hold statutory or private health insurance.

No, a referral is required.
We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards (except American Express). For invoices up to € 400, we kindly ask that payment be made on-site immediately following your treatment.
Parking spaces are available directly at the Novale building at Rheinstraße 13. Alternatively, we recommend the car park P21 at Rheinstraße 21, 6800 Feldkirch, approximately 250 metres away. Both options allow for a stress-free arrival.
Our dental institute is conveniently accessible by public bus. Please alight at the Nofels Kirche stop, from where it is just a 2-minute walk to our practice.
Many parents wonder when the right time is for their child’s first dental appointment. The answer: sooner than you might think – as soon as the first milk tooth comes through, which typically occurs between 6 and 12 months of age.
At your baby’s or toddler’s first visit, the focus is not on treatment but on getting acquainted and providing guidance to parents. Where possible, we take a gentle look inside your child’s mouth together, offer advice on proper oral hygiene and healthy nutrition, and ensure that your child experiences our practice as a safe and positive place from the very beginning – so that dental anxiety never gets a chance to develop.

This is of course possible for existing as well as new patients and the type of appointment can also be freely selected. Please note that we are elective doctors. Appointments are of course possible for all patients of all health insurance companies.
